The same week that I received
the cookie jar film,
I took these.
I needed to use up a new roll.
And though I keep taking the same photograph
of myself in the circle mirror.
I keep wanting to.
So I did.
Just before I left.
That afternoon, I lost the hat I loved-
the one from far away.
But now I have a photograph of it
for the book of lost and broken things
that I have decided to someday make.
